Hengduan Mountains : The Heart of China Wildflower Conservation
The Hengduan Mountains are the closest thing to a natural art gallery in China. This area, which runs through western Sichuan and northern Yunnan, is home to an amazing number of wildflowers. In fact, it's often called the living heart of China wildflower conservation . Every time you turn on the trail, it feels like you're entering a new ecosystem. Above, the peaks are covered in snow, and below, in the spring and summer, the alpine meadows come to life with color.
